About
As Chief Product Officer, Grant Farhall is responsible for Getty Images’ overall product strategy and vision. In his role, Grant's aim is to make it easier for Getty Images’ customers to discover, license and share powerful content to connect with their audiences, and ultimately drive impact for the business. This includes leveraging AI capabilities to create efficiencies, and in a manner that is completely commercially safe and respects the rights of IP holders and artists.
His career at Getty Images spans a decade, including his most recent role as Vice President of E‑Commerce. In addition, Grant has held several positions with iStock, including as General Manager where he helped develop and execute a turnaround strategy for the business by simplifying the product and better aligning to customer needs.
Prior to joining Getty Images, Grant worked in broadcast journalism and as a Studio Manager for several advertising and web development agencies. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Calgary and Broadcasting Diploma from Mount Royal University. Grant spends his time playing with his eight‑year‑old‑daughter, calling play by play for the Calgary Roughnecks of the National Lacrosse League and driving the back roads of Western Canada to photograph abandoned buildings.
