Shareen Pathak

Shareen is the co-founder of Toolkits, an independent media company covering the business of content. Shareen is a journalist, editorial strategist and content product leader with extensive experience building and operating successful content products and businesses.

As a reporter and editor she covered advertising and marketing sector for over a decade, chronicling its shift from analog to digital at newsrooms in the U.S. and Singapore, including The Straits Times, Dow Jones and Crain Communications

As director of editorial products at Digiday Media, she led development of editorial content products, and worked with sales, audience development and editorial teams on special projects and international expansion opportunities. Prior to that, she was the founding editor of Glossy, a business publication about the future of fashion and beauty, as well as on the founding teams for Modern Retail, a publication about the retail sector, and Tearsheet, which covers the future of fintech.

Shareen leads Toolkits’ coverage of how brands are building media companies and also advises brands, advertising agencies and tech companies on how to create high-quality media operations and robust communications strategies. She is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Journalism.

Two years after launching the BRXND Marketing x AI Conference in NYC, we are ready to take things to California. On February 6, 2025 we will be in Los Angeles to explore the intersection of marketing and AI. Where must the industry go? And, most importantly, what's worth getting your hands on today?
